Here at Roach Productions we are proud to announce a very exciting project. Our good friend John Parkin, author of F*ck It: The Ultimate Spiritual Way, has approved a script for a new web viral which will launch in October 2009 depicting a Priest who finds his ultimate spiritual solution. Filming will be set across London and we are now on the search for two key roles. An attractive male priest, aged 28-38 to play the lead, and also a beautiful femme fatale to provide the temptation. Email kyle@roachproductions.com with your cv and headshot (if you have a video it will put you at the top of the pile).
This viral will be used as part of a massive advertising campaign to promote the new release from John.

Exciting news today ahead of the Kong Snake Magnet Tour, in association with Brew Records, the entire tour footage will be exclusively published in / for Rocksound Magazine and Online. This is great news for all involved as Rocksound have proved time and time again that they promote from the heart and produce great results. Another sh*t hot result for Roach and even better news for the Kong.
Make sure you check out the debut album on the 13th July, and come see the tour starting from the 15th July with other Roach favourites, Chickenhawk.

Roach Productions are proud to announce our next two video projects will involve the psychodelic Castrovalva and the bone splitting Imicus.

“Hard rock, modern, inventive, violent and subtle. Technology is deployed with wit and skill so we get sliced as well as battered. The guitars are magnificent, This is fucking brilliant, twelve out of ten, if it’s not the rebirth it’s certainly the tasty fried afterbirth of hard rock.” - unpeeled.net
.

“Riff standing tall next to some bowel rumbling bass and driving, dramatic drums, as the vocalist ranges from a whisper to a scream and we even get a blistering guitar solo that oozes ’90’s real metal from every pore. As a song goes, from arrangement to execution, production to performance, this is one freakin classic in any rock fans books and you’d be forgiven for not caring a hoot what followed after hearing this slice of metal magic. But, the best part is that the three tracks that follow are all fantastic songs a sort of ’90’s metal nirvana delivered with passion, power and precision, produced to perfection, dynamically driven and memorable without being clichéd. This is the sound of a real metal band in action who can write some simply blinding songs, wrap them up in arrangements that would put many a top band to shame and come up with a storming slice of rock action that you simply don’t want to put away. If this is the EP then the album is going to be explosive, so get this sucker now before it disappears forever and becomes a collector’s item of the future for a band who are surely destined to hit the big time” Deadearnest.com

I’m totally surprised that I can write this entry today.
If you told me a week ago that we were going to put together a full two hour dvd make up of over 20 hours of footage, I would have laughed and then maybe had a bit of a sit down. But we’ve done it, Kong’s debut album Snake Magnet will be released as a double disc CD/DVD with artwork by Jon-Lee Martin. The DVD has been made with mixed media from handycams, mac books and camera phones, all tied together with footage shot by Roach. There’s a viral video campaign spreading out for this release, but as we don’t want you wondering around wasting your time on other people’s websites - we’ll stick it all on here for you.
Big thanks to Brew Records for continuing to push us in the direction we all love to go - Idiot Rock. And of course we’d like to personally thank Sylvia Hodson and her Kong boys LuLu, Krem and Magpie. *HEH!*

Alrighty gang, the site is finally here. Granted we’ve got some pages to build and some pictures to tweak, but its here, its alive, and you can check out our showreel by clicking on the tv. The Danny North Show went out last night on NME TV and its had a tremendous response, signalling a new era for Roach as we move into broadcast productions.
We’re up to all sorts this month with the Chickenhawk Zombie video approaching production status, (do keep sending in your applications!). The Kong DVD for Snake Magnet is in its final stages of production, and with videos for Castrovalva and Jester J waiting round the corner, its going to be a hectic few months for Roach.
But don’t you worry yourself, we’ll keep you informed.
Thanks for stopping by.

Produced by Roach Productions
Director & Editor: Kyle James-Patrick
Director of Photography & Colourist: Ricko Roach
Artist: Chickenhawk
Track: NASA Vs ESA
Label: Brew Records
This video was shot on a budget of £200 which used to develop the concept of a fake moon landing. Inspired by Spike Jonez, with the personalities of Chickenhawk, this parody of the US moon landing has been designed to carry the same pace and intensity as the track whilst being pure video entertainment.
